Komorebi is a 3D environmental study inspired by the Japanese concept of komorebi, the phenomenon of sunlight filtering through tree canopies to create shifting patterns of light and shadow. The project draws on the philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, embracing imperfection and transience as a way of reflecting on the passage of time and the beauty found in fleeting moments.
Designed as a contemplative interactive space, the environment recreates the quiet experience of walking through a sunlit park. Through natural lighting, organic forms, and subtle atmospheric details, the project encourages players to pause, observe, and appreciate the ephemeral qualities of the surrounding environment.
